The Secret to Your Ideal Daily Routine
This is my daily routine.
Because I do my best work in the morning, I usually save the most mentally taxing items for the morning.
That includes writing, coding, and dealing with obnoxious things (paying bills, for instance). I get these out of the way so that I can feel good about the rest of the day.
In the afternoons I focus on personal development: reading, going to the gym, and errands.
Finally, at night, I review what I have going on for the rest of the week. I Identify anything I didn’t get to and review how I’m going to complete it by the end of the week.
Here’s the secret: there is no secret.
I figured out how my energy moves through the day.
So, instead of fighting it and requiring I get things done at specific times, I’ve simply blocked off the different moments of the day to best align to the energy required to complete the work.
So as you put together your life, remember that what works for you might be entirely different from what works for somebody else.
